Video Premiere for Earth Day: ‘Introversion’ by MOON

Earth Day Network’s mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. Growing out of the first Earth Day in 1970, Earth Day Network is the world’s largest recruiter to the environmental movement, working with more than 75,000 partners in over 190 countries to drive positive action for our planet.

For the first time in 50 years, the world’s largest civic event is going digital for the first time in its history and in CLOT we want to mark this day premiering Introversion, a film produced by the MOON studio and directed by interdisciplinary artist MOON-Martina Zelenika.

When a massive ecocide of the Earth’s paradise is culminating and the future that awaits us is speculative, my inner force and the purpose as an artist are stronger than ever before. Told us, Martina, during a conversation with CLOT a few weeks ago.

The art video INTROVERSION was created with minimalistic and wide-open shots of the imposing northern and southern highlands of the Mt Velebit in Croatia. Shot by drone and 4K camera over 1400 m above sea level, the frames function as a visual journey through the peaks of the Mt and green wooded areas, but the video presents a journey from a twisted perspective. Scenes of spectacular natural scenery, partially coloured to evoke the surreal surface of planet Earth and open the door to a World “on the other side of the view”. With this video collage, Zelenika creates a kind of ultimate meditative haven, with ideal conditions for the process of immersing oneself in times of broken privacy, pervasive panopticon and inflation of information.
